RACCOONS IN HOUSTON

Bio:

The Raccoon (Procyon lotor) is a widespread omnivorous (will eat anything they can find) mammal native to North America. They are easily identified by their black mask and ringed tail. Raccoons of texas are generally between 10-15 pounds but will grow to be four times that in regions of the northern America. Raccoons are generally active at night, however seeing them during the day may or may not indicate that they are sick. Raccoons are very clever and talented animals, using their hands to catch food, climb trees, open your trash can, and tear apart your building to make a home in your attic.

Nuisance:

Originally they inhabited forests, but due to our nations growth they have had to adapt to urban life and have done it very well. A raccoon can find and pry their way into just about any building. They are not tidy house guests, defecating throughout your attic, tearing up your air ducts, and ripping holes in your siding or roof. Raccoons do not eat cats or dogs, but they will attack if provoked or feel trapped. If you have a raccoon living in your attic or one that has snuck in through your doggy door and is roaming about your house, call Houston Wildlife Patrol anytime day or night to come to the rescue!!!

Never seal up their hole until you call a professional.  They will just rip open another one and as you can see. Raccoons consider your attic their home.  Raccoons can tear right through your roof!

Houston Raccoon and Opossum Removal – Raccoons or Opossum in your attic in Houston?  We get them out humanely, and are the only company who relocates the animals instead of euthanizing.  It is important to get them out because raccoons setup latrines and most times they are in your attic.  This means that they pick one area to do their business which can cause your home to smell pretty bad.  Don’t worry we also offer cleanup and decontamination services.  Raccoons begin to have their young in February so let us get them out before then and save you some money!
